Senator Sam Brownback's record

Brownback supports elements of the unconstitutional Brady Registration Act and NICS expansion.
In response to questions about the Virginia Tech tragedy and the Brady Registration Act, Brownback responded: "It looks like there was a weakness in the system on this one. We need to be able to get that information out to the states for them to be able to use."

Brownback flip-flopped on gun manufacturer liability lawsuits.
In 2004 Brownback voted against banning lawsuits of gun manufacturers.1 In 2005 Brownback flip-flopped and voted in favor of banning lawsuits against gun manufacturers.2
