Billionaire gun-grabber labels gun owners “Terrorists”

They’re calling it the “terror gap” and it’s the anti-gun Left’s latest ploy to tar gun owners as terrorists and ban all private firearms sales. Anti-gun activists like Sarah Brady and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg have now resorted to calling gun owners “terrorists.”

Billionaire New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and his gun control group, Mayors Against Illegal Guns, are launching a multi-million dollar media and TV ad blitz aimed at painting gun owners as radical terrorists and setting the stage for a total ban on private firearm sales.

The anti-gun cabal in Washington knows that with President Obama in need of electoral support before the next election, the time is now to pursue their gun control schemes.  They’re not wasting any time taking action.

Private firearms sales under attack in Congress

The gun control lobby’s anti-gun lieutenant tasked with guiding new restrictions on the Second Amendment through Congress is Rep. Carolyn McCarthy (D-NY), whose freedom-crushing bill, H.R. 591, is designed to close the so-called “gun show loophole”– legislation crafted to federally infringe on private gun sales.

The likes of McCarthy, Bloomberg and Brady have led the chants of the gun control crowd for years, constantly blathering on and on about the so-called “gun show loophole.”

These anti-gun zealots simply can’t stand the fact that law-abiding citizens legally and routinely exercise their Second Amendment freedoms to buy and sell firearms out from under the watchful eyes of government snoops.

The staff at the National Association for Gun Rights has deployed millions of emails in the past few months urging grassroots gun rights activists to sign the Protect Private Firearms Sales petition to pressure members of Congress to publicly oppose the gun control lobby’s attack on private sales, H.R. 591.

Consequences of H.R. 591 would be disastrous for gun owner freedom

With the 2012 elections rapidly approaching, President Obama and the gun control lobby know they must crank up the pressure on members of Congress and the Senate to pass any form of gun control.

H.R. 591 would effectively ban sales of semi-automatic rifles or pistols between gun owners without government licensing requirements, impose a sky-high tax to discourage all private sales and enact a total ban on private sales and transfers.

What this means is that if a gun owner wants to buy a firearm from his friend at the gun range it would be illegal if he did not have the proper paperwork.  While private sales may still remain legal for a time, if H.R. 591 were to pass, the anti-gunners will impose a tax so high it will make obtaining the proper paperwork unaffordable

Even more tragic to gun owner rights would be the elimination of private sales and transfers, even between family members.

Insider sources on Capitol Hill reveal that gun owners could see movement on an anti-gun bill like H.R. 591 as soon as this Fall (not to mention the looming threat of the Washington-arrival of the UN “Small Arms Treaty”, see page XXX).

National Association for Gun Rights legislative staff will continue working the lines of communication with sources on Capitol Hill to effectively and promptly alert NAGR members and supporters of any immediate movement of H.R. 591.

NAGR launches massive offensive against H.R. 591

In addition to the millions of email action alerts to gun rights activists in all 50 states and U.S. territories, National Association for Gun Rights staff have prepared hundreds of thousands of pieces of mail to be sent to gun owners asking them to sign and return their Protect Private Firearms Sales petition to their respective member of Congress.

NAGR staff are contacting gun rights activists right now via phone and sounding an alert of the trouble brewing in Washington.

To join the grassroots army fighting H.R. 591, please sign your Protect Private Firearms Sales petition to your Congressman by visiting www.nationalgunrights.org .
