Working for you

I just finished testifying in favor of “Constitutional Carry” at the State Capitol building in Concord, New Hampshire.

Passage of a “Constitutional Carry” bill would make gun permits optional — no longer would gun owners be treated like criminals just to carry a firearm for self-defense.

I do have to tell you the bad news — the enemies of our Second Amendment rights are as anxious to kill pro-gun bills as they have ever been . . .

. . . but if you and I keep scratching and clawing, and put in the hard work, I see good things ahead for gun owners in states cross the country.

You see, nearly two decades ago, when I was a much younger gun rights lobbyist in Colorado, I saw the harmful effects that “compromise” had on our gun rights — usually those concocted by the institutional gun lobby.

Time and time again I saw pro-gun champions battle for Second Amendment liberty, only to have the rug pulled out from under them at the last second because of an institutional gun lobby backroom deal.

Believe me, the threat of compromising and deal-cutting still exists, but gun owners now have an organization — the National Association for Gun Rights — to fight anti-Second Amendment compromises in state capitols across the country.

NAGR is also supporting HB 1015, the “Constitutional Carry” bill in South Dakota. Remarkably, the institutional gun lobby is pulling exactly the same stunts there.

Anti-gun politicians at the South Dakota State Capitol are taking heat for opposing our REAL right-to-carry bill, and once again, the institutional gun lobby is working overtime to provide cover for them!

They’re working hand-in-glove with anti-gun bureaucrats in the Governor’s office to hijack “Constitutional Carry” with their own limp-wristed substitute.

Your National Association for Gun Rights is working with close to a dozen state-level affiliate gun groups to advance Second Amendment freedoms in 2012.

Last year, working with our state-level affiliate in Wyoming, Wyoming Gun Owners, that state became the fourth in the country to pass “Constitutional Carry.”

Unfortunately, a fifth state, Montana, was not added to the list because the Democrat Governor of Montana, who was “A-rated” by the institutional gun lobby, vetoed the bill.

With your continued activism and financial support, NAGR will continue to grow our no-compromise state operations.

If you don’t think you can make a difference in your state, or even feel betrayed by the “Inside-the-Beltway” institutional gun lobby, I encourage you to get involved with the National Association for Gun Rights.

This weekend, I’ll be teaching a room full of gun rights activists how to win in New Hampshire.

NAGR’s goal is to go state-by-state training as many gun rights activists as possible.

My staff and I want to work with Second Amendment supporters like you whenever we can.

I hope to see you in your state soon.

For Freedom,

P.S. I just finished testifying in favor of “Constitutional Carry” at the State Capitol in New Hampshire.

I’m more encouraged than ever by the activism and support of gun owners like you who are fighting everyday to advance gun rights.

If you can afford to do so right now, please consider chipping in $15 or $20 to help NAGR fight the gun-grabbers in state capitols nationwide.
