Anti-gun Alabama Sheriff Sam Cochran Exacting Revenge Against Elected Official

Corrupt anti-gun sheriff Sam Cochran has fired pro-gun sheriff deputy Shane Stringer

Montgomery, AL – In a move that can only be seen as corrupt and blatantly anti-gun, Sheriff Sam Cochran has fired Sheriff Shane Stringer for his support of the Second Amendment. Shane Stringer is also a representative in the Alabama State House.

“Two words come to mind: corrupt and despicable. Cochran not only opposes gun rights, but is going after a man’s livelihood because of the difference of opinion. Stringer is simply doing what his constituents elected him to do. That should not cost him his job. Cochran should be ashamed of himself,” said Dudley Brown, President of the National Association for Gun Rights.

According to a spokeswomen for anti-gun sheriff Sam Cochran, pro-gun Sheriff and Rep. Shane Stringer has been fired for, “different political views held by his administration.”

And according to reports from AL.com, the spokeswomen further clarified, “that Stringer’s sponsorship of legislation supportive of constitutional carry ran afoul of the Sheriff’s views.”

“Sheriffs in Alabama bring in an estimated 18 million dollars each year on selling pistol permits. Cochran sells gun rights back to the residents of Mobile County for $20 apiece, and Mobile is the second largest county in the state. It’s clear: Sheriff Cochran wants to extort you of your hard earned money so he can regulate your right to keep and bear arms – and he’ll fire people in the process.” said Brown.

Anti-gun Sheriff Sam Cochran is a member of the Republican Party, and is up for reelection next year.

The National Association for Gun Rights is the nation’s second largest pro-gun organization, with 4.5 million                                                                  members and supporters nationwide.
