National Association for Gun Rights Opposes all of Joe Biden’s State of the Union Gun Control Schemes

Mar 2, 2022

During the State of the Union address last night, President Joe Biden took time to attack the Second Amendment and called for numerous gun control policies designed to restrict legal firearms ownership in America.

“Joe Biden is an enemy of law-abiding gun owners anywhere, and everywhere. Last night he displayed his disdain for the Second Amendment and doubled down on attacking our gun rights – something he’s done for over forty years in public office. But now more than ever, the average person is seeing firsthand the importance of personal firearms ownership without constant inference from an overbearing government,” said Dudley Brown, President of the National Association for Gun Rights.

During his speech, President Biden called for the passage of multiple gun control measures including banning of so-called assault weapons, prohibiting the manufacturing of homemade firearms, banning the sale and possession of standard capacity magazines, and implementing universal background checks which are linked to a national gun registry run by the ATF.

“All Americans – including registered Democrats are buying firearms in record numbers, yet Biden is out of touch with reality and his own political party,” said Brown. “Frankly, the whole world is waking up to the importance of average citizens having the ability to defend themselves, their families, and their country with so-called assault weapons, standard capacity magazines, and homemade weapons.”

The National Association for Gun Rights and its 4.5 million members have successfully stopped all of the proposed Biden gun control during his first year in office.

“We’re not surprised that The Biden administration and Democrat Congress are pursing radical gun control, but we’re certainly engaging our members to oppose every single gun control scheme being flouted in the D.C. Swamp. His administration poses the biggest threat to the Constitutional rights of freedom loving Americans that we have seen in decades.” concluded Brown.

The National Association for Gun Rights opposes all current gun control and any forthcoming gun control legislation or executive actions.

The National Association for Gun Rights is the nation’s largest “no compromise” pro-gun organization, with 4.5 million members nationwide.
