President Trump: Big Gun Control Package Coming

Over the weekend, President Trump once again renewed the push for a gun control “deal” with Congress.

Here’s exactly what the President told reporters on the White House South Lawn on Sunday:

"We’re in the process of dealing with Democrats, Republicans -- they’ve been working very hard on it. They’re coming back very soon and there’s a big package of things that’s going to be put before them by a lot of different people…

I’ve been speaking to a lot of Senators, we’ve been speaking to a lot of House members, a lot of Republicans, a lot of Democrats and people want to do something so we’re going to see. We’re doing a package and it’s coming about right now.”- President Trump Sept. 1, 2019.1

The largest gun control deal in fifty years could be announced any day now.

With Congress coming back in session, we MUST mobilize now.

So please call the White House comment line at 202-456-1111 or 202-456-1414 right away.

Politely urge President Trump to reverse course and stop pushing for a gun control “deal.”

Sadly, President Trump appears to be fooled by the false narrative that American gun owners are okay with Obama-style gun control, as long as he’s the one to broker the “deal.”

But that is a grave mistake.

You see, if President Trump abandons the Second Amendment, he may LOSE next year, just like scores of Republicans did in 2018 after they voted for gun control.

I know I don’t need to tell you how much worse it’ll get if Democrats like Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren or Bernie Sanders get their hands on your gun rights.

That’s why we need to make it crystal clear to the President that we will not sit idly by as members of either party attack the Second Amendment.

Please call the White House comment line at 202-456-1111 or 202-456-1414.

Politely urge President Trump to reverse course and stop pushing for a gun control “deal.”

However, before this weekend took a turn for the worse, there was some good news to report.

The Democrats did postpone their gun control hearing in the House Judiciary Committee.  Reports are that they are now aiming for next week.

This gives us another week to stop them, but we must ratchet up the pressure, and fast.

Their march toward gun control continues, and the “package” that’s on the table could include:

     *** Red Flag” Gun Confiscation

 S.7, S.506 and ‘Graham-Blumenthal’

This is the bill which allows government agents to seize firearms from any law-abiding citizen without due process based on anonymous accusation.

Senators like Lindsey Graham, Marco Rubio, Dianne Feinstein and Dick Blumenthal are pushing it.

If passed, it would coerce all 50 states into adopting a federal “Red Flag” standard, or worse, impose a federally-enforceable gun confiscation scheme to be carried out by the same Attorney General responsible for Ruby Ridge.

     *** Universal Gun Registration

HR. 8 and ‘Toomey-Manchin’

This was President Obama’s gun control gem you and I defeated in 2013. It’s already passed Nancy Pelosi’s House and is reportedly the cornerstone of any “deal” between the White House and Congressional Leaders.

If passed, it would ban all private firearm sales, forcing virtually every gun buyer in America to register in the Brady-NICS federal registry, and require all gun sales be pre-approved by the government.

*** The so-called “assault weapons” ban.

The House Judiciary Committee chaired by radically anti-gun Representative Jerry Nadler (D-NY) is set to take up Feinstein’s expanded version of the defunct “assault weapons” ban, which may require the forced surrender of ordinary semi-automatic firearms.

Congress reconvenes in a matter of days.

And with Democrats, Republicans, and even President Trump buying into the anti-gun hysteria, we have our work cut out for us if we are going to stop this radical agenda.

So please call the White House comment line at 202-456-1111 or 202-456-1414.

Politely urge President Trump to reverse course and stop pushing for a gun control “deal.”
